wendell and me…

that makes the fifth book of wendell’s that i’ve read over the years… I read his original ccna way back when, then icnd1 and 2 when ccna split, then his route book for ccnp and now ccie r&s cert guide, a first pass anyway… over the next year i’ll be reading ccie r&s quite a few more times, i’m certain… shit, it’s only a thousand pages…

if you’ve completed ccnp, then more than half of ccie r&s is review… qos, mpls and multicast are a shock to the system though…

which brings me to those who don’t do ccnp:

that is pure insanity… fools rush in where angel’s fear to tread…

so far for ccie i have gotten through:

halabi: Internet routing architectures

doyle: routing tcpip vol 1 and 2

and wendell: ccie r&s

of course i did halabi and doyle while i was immersed in ccnp, so they don’t really count, and i will do each of those again, and again…

russ white’s cef and eigrp books were diversions that i should read again also…

and i’m not counting ccie quick review as a book at all…

i still haven’t read moy’s ospf, ivan’s mpls books, etc, the list goes on…

so what does it mean? it means i’m just starting…

on the 23rd of february,  i began a time sheet again like i did for ccnp route…
