rust never sleeps…

in the last couple months i spent a lot of time with many and various things, bgp being one of them… a lot of security, voice, asa and network services, frame relay, ad infinitum… so what happens to the rest that you had cold? the rest starts falling apart…

what do you do about it? that is the universal question…

in a guest post here, daniel dib addressed that:

the million dollar question. The one every CCIE candidate struggles with. This is a challenge indeed. I think part of it is to accept you can’t keep everything current 100% all the time. As you go through things again and again more of it should stick though. And as your skills advance you should be able to reason yourself to what should be right when you have to choose between solutions.

as i’ve stated before, i’m doing all of rene molenaar’s labs… all of them… that’s 340 total, quite a prodigious output… and that takes time… the whole plan is to do them once, save the skeletons, and redo them again later… i have gotten through over a hundred of them so far… some of them go quickly, others do not… the other part of the plan is to not use google when stuck; use the doc cd…

another thing i’ve done recently is to share my anki decks so i can do them with my droid… they can be found in shared decks on ankiweb.net  under ccie study…

anki

enjoy…
