3.7.d [iii] Outbound route filtering

in the ccie r&s written blueprint there is no mention of ORF specifically. But that doesn’t mean anything, right? it is implied in the filtering section, right? However there is no mention of it in wendell’s ccie r&s, nor doyle routing tcpip 2. rfc 5291 proposes ORF back in 2008. This latest version of ccie r&s was printed in 2010. the doyle books are older, however revised along the way, so i didn’t expect to find references there. it is mentioned in the ccie quick ref:

Outbound Route Filtering
Outbound Route Filtering (ORF) is a prefix-based BGP feature enabled through the advertisement of ORF capabilities to peer routers. The advertisement of the ORF capability indicates that a BGP-speaking router can accept a prefix list from a neighbor and apply the prefix list to locally configured ORFs (if any exist). When this capability is enabled, the BGP speaker can install an inbound prefix list filter to the remote peer as an outbound filter, which reduces unwanted routing updates.
