frame-relay…

it is old, it is not used, and you still have to know its quirks for the ccie lab exam… waaah… i could complain about it on end, or just revisit it from time to time as practice… using a router as a frame switch has drifted into the abyss of trivia, not unlike frame-relay itself… too bad… in its day it was the bitches bastard… cisco likes it because it does weird shit to routing protocols… double waaaaah…

you can use the connect statement instead of the route statement on the frame-switch side… is it better, more convenient, does it make more sense? do you even care?

it is a global config statement on the frame switch…

connect r1r2 Serial0/0 102 Serial0/1 201
