dscp, again…

i’ve been watching INE’s qos stuff and i’m very happy with it… however, i had a sneaking suspicion that when it got to dscp, things would go south… i was right… last summer i began posting a few articles about my understanding of dscp… and i must say that because of that earlier effort, dscp is a piece of cake…  with very little understanding of the why’s of it then, coming to grips with the numbers in some logical fashion has been a great boon… upon looking at the below table the relationship of these numbers will begin to make sense to you within an hour… within a day, you will have it down… here is also a video that i did on cln that elaborates on my method of understanding these seemingly disparate numbers: https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/videos/1645

dscp/ip precedence…

even easier still… thanks to this guy   http://www.dasblinkenlichten.com/?p=376

just great… ordered so well…. barely have to remember afxy(8x + 2y)

the class selector and the ip precedence follow each other… binary and decimal at cs1 (8) always increment by two, until voice… sheer genius…

thank you dasblinkerlicker… he did what i was shooting for yesterday…
