4.1.a Implement and troubleshoot MPLS operations

mplsordie

the resurrection… i built this lab last september and i love the topology… the address configuration follows below… just basic addressing…  the mission is to build the topology, paste in the base configs (you can thank me at any time), test p2p ip connectivity then go have a cup of coffee and a butt…

step 2 is adding ospf and testing connectivity…

step 3 is making it a full blown mpls vpn… add mpls ONLY to p’s and pe interfaces connecting to p’s..

have fun

it comes after ccna…

and before ccie…

it’s a progression… there is long term value in the way cisco presents information in it’s “literature”… i’ve actually noticed this… the realization has often been shocking…

so a guy on cln asks the question should he go right from ccna to ccie… i say, if you’ve got the balls, do it… i believe in cisco’s delivery methods because they’ve worked for me… i sometimes get pissed off at the methodology but utlimately i see the wisdom in the end… the “o, so that’s why they were force feeding that to me”, moments… often while it’s happening, the taste isn’t pleasant…

i was reviewing some things today and i actually heard wendell’s voice… not sure if that’s actually the way wendell sounds, but the voice in his words that i’ve read countless times was crystal clear…

northlandboy made a good point in his response… most people who try to go that way sometimes don’t even make it to the written, let alone the lab…

two days ago i couldn’t imagine life with CCNP… today i can’t imagine life without it… is anything really that different right now… no…

at this point the ccie seems reachable, though far away… i hope in a year it appears closer…

single minded purpose my friend…
